OK, but Cersei Lannister is TERRIBLE. She is not any more or less terrible because she is a woman, she is A TERRIBLE PERSON, and I don’t know where the show is at in the series, but I assume that you know this by now and if you say that hating Cersei is misogynist, then that’s cray.
While misogyny does run rampant in fandoms, among both men and women, I take issue with this post in many ways. It brings up good points in regards to internalized misogyny, which is great, but it also takes on an accusatory tone that if you don’t like one of these females characters, you are wrong. Some of the characters pointed out are villains, like Cersei. I do not condone words like slut or bitch, however Cersei is cruel, vindictive, uses sex as a weapon, selfish, power hungry, self-involved, and you can keep going, because she is a villainous character. I am not obligated to think highly of her because I’m a woman and disliking her isn’t internalized misogyny. Also calling Cersei psychotic is not misogyny. If you read the books, she is essentially a psychopath a couple books in and it has nothing to do with her being a female. If a male character acted as she did, I would label them psychotic as well.
I suppose my problem with these type of memes are they don’t paint an accurate picture of what a real problem misogyny is. Yes, curses and slurs that degrade women (such as bitch, slut, pussy, etc.) are horrible and a product of a misogynistic society, however, referring to anyone who has used these terms as a fuck bagel isn’t productive. This isn’t combating internalized misogyny, it’s an attempt to get notes and start arguments.
I would love to see instead of memes like this to see positive and intelligent campaigns to fight misogyny. Create art, write essays, make videos, and show that your serious. That’s how you prove you’re not a fuck bagel.

Her decisions as Queen Regent are actively destructive to the realm. She is a well written character (like the vast majority of George R.R. Martin’s characters) but that doesn’t mean she is likeable, there are other examples of powerful female characters in ASoIaF that are actually amazing.”
